What this checks — and doesn't

  • Never opens an SMTP connection to the mailbox and never confirms one specific inbox exists — "deliverable" means the domain accepts mail (MX, or an A/AAAA fallback per RFC 5321), not that this exact address is live.
  • The disposable-domain list is a static, self-maintained heuristic denylist of long-running throwaway-email services, not an authoritative or exhaustive registry.
  • SPF/DMARC presence describes the sending domain's own anti-spoofing posture, not this specific address.
  • Informational only. Not a guarantee of mailbox existence or deliverability.

FAQ

Does this confirm the exact mailbox exists?

No. It never opens an SMTP connection to the target mailbox and never sends mail. "Deliverable" means the domain accepts mail — a real "does this exact inbox exist" check requires a live RCPT TO probe, which most receiving mail servers now silently accept-then-bounce or block from unknown senders. This tool deliberately does not attempt that.

How does the disposable/temp-email check work?

Against a static, self-maintained list of long-running, widely-recognized throwaway-inbox providers (Mailinator, Yopmail, Guerrilla Mail, 10 Minute Mail, and similar) — a heuristic signal, not an authoritative registry.

Is this a third-party email verification API reseller?

No. Syntax is RFC 5321/5322 grammar checked locally. MX/A/AAAA/SPF/DMARC are live DNS lookups via this server's own resolver — an open protocol, not a hosted vendor's API.

What do "role address" and "free provider" mean?

"Role address" flags generic local-parts like info@, support@, or noreply@. "Free provider" flags well-known consumer webmail domains (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook, iCloud, and similar) so a B2B lead list can tell a personal address apart from a business domain.
